The new Toy Story Mania attraction that is set to open on May 31st is bound to provide a lot of fodder for this column and we'll start things off with a great film reference. Pixar loves to make references to it's films and the attraction here is no different. Outside the attraction you will find a plethora of Toy Story characters and visual gags and tucked away on the roof of a building opposite the entrance to Toy Story Mania are two monkeys from a Barrel Full of Monkeys who are enaged in a pretty dangerous stunt. One of the monkeys has the other one tapped to a fireworks rocket.

This scene is funny enough but it's actually a reference to the film Toy Story when Sid, the disturbed child who lives next door to Andy, straps Buzz Lightyear to an identical fireworks rocket for the purposes of a good laugh. The monkeys in the attraction have recreated the scene on their own and it pays hommage to the film that started it all for the attraction.
