It's starting to get a little cold out there so come inside and read some questions submitted to this site about the Disney-MGM Studios and see the answers as you sip your hot cocoa by the fire (or your computer's exhaust area). Don't forget that if you have your own questions that you've been thinking about, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).

Plese tell me why are they the osbourne lights? what does that mean? who are the osbournes? ozzie? it's just some guy? is it a movie reference? help! - Lisa
Yes, in fact the Prince of Darkness signed an agreement with Disney to put a display of Christmas lights at Walt Disney World.  This was after Ozzy and Disney agreed on the deal by biting the heads off bats in unison.

Okay, that's not the case at all. The lights come from the Osborne Family from Little Rock, Arkansas who did their best Clark Griswold impression by putting Christms lights in their front yard to cheer up their, then-sick, daughter. Well the light display got bigger and bigger and become a local attraction and as you may imagine the neighbors were less than thrilled. So un-thrilled that they took matters to court. Disney jumped in and offered to display the lights annually at Walt Disney World and there they are today. You can read the whole story on the Osborne Family website and get all the nitty-gritty details.

Hi Matt, I enjoy your site, we are AP and I would like to know if there's a special event going on for the name change. I would love to attend any event of this type. Thanks in advance. - Yulady
Thanks for visiting this site, I'm glad you enjoy it. I haven't heard of any plans for the name change in terms of some sort of event or announcement party or anything like that. So I can't tell you to expect anything more than a press release and maybe some merchandise. If I do hear anything, I will post it on this site immediatley.

I will be taking out next trip to WDW January 2-13. Do you know how long the Osborne Lights will be up? I seem to remember catching the lights on their last day, when we went in early January '06 (I think we got there around the fifth or sixth). - Elizabeth

Good news, the Osborne Lights will be up through January 6th for your viewing pleasure. Beyond the 6th, the lights start to come down and they won't be turned on anymore.
