Welcome to Ask Matt where every week I try my best to answer any question about Disney's Hollywood Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions.  So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).

I heard from a friend that the Harlem Gospel Choir will be performing at MGM this year? Where and when can I see them? - Christine
You heard correctly, the Harlem Gospel Choir will be performing from November 30 through December 25 with three performances each night, taking place in the same theater where you see Beauty and the Beast. According to the latest Mickey Monitor (the Annual Pass quarterly publication) the songs to be performed include Songs include "Are you ready for a miracle", "Joy to the World", "Silent Night", "O Holy Night" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".

Matt,

I just read your review of the High School Musical Pep Rally and wanted to know if my 9 year old daughter would enjoy it? It didn't seem like you liked the show. - Maureen

Let me start with saying yes, you should bring your daughter to see the show as it's perfectly targeted for her age group and if she knows the film and the songs, she will love it. As for me, I didn't feel the production in this new version was anywhere as good as the production in the first pep rally. The first and last songs are done very well ("What time is it?" and "We're all in this together") but beyond that, the other songs didn't have the energy of the songs from the first pep rally. Let me know what your daughter thinks.

Pardon the pun, but I have some beef with you. Why do you constantly slam the Sci Fi? I think it's great and my family loves it there! - Tom

The bottom line when it comes to the Sci-Fi Dinine In Theater is the food is average at best and way overpriced. The great theme and decor do not make up for bad, overpriced food. Period. If they would just raise the quality of the food they serve and keep prices somewhat normal ($12 for a burger?!) then I could take this place off my blacklist. Until then, eat at Prime Time or Mama Melrose.
