Welcome to Ask Matt where every week I try my best to answer any question about Disney's Hollywood Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions.  So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).

I am in need of a wheel chair or an electric scooter. Will there be a problem getting one for Sunday, November 11th ? Where do I go to obtain one? - Jeannette
There certainly isn't a problem to rent an electric scooter (in Disney World, they are called an Electric Convenience Vehicle or ECV). ECV's can be rented on a daily basis from Oscar's Super Service, located on the right just inside the main theme park entrance. ECV's cost $35 per day for a rental with $5 refundable deposit and you must be 18 years old or older to rent ECVs.

I am needing to order a gold colored Mickey's Director Award for "Best Daughter" from the Mickey's of Hollywood.  Who and how do I get in contact with someone to purchase this item.  It is for my daughter's birthday and would like to purchase pretty quickly. - Tammy

You can contact Disney Merchandise by calling 407-363-6200. If it is in stock you could have it within 5 business days. They can order you any of the park merchandise found in the parks.

Do you think it will be necessary to show up 90 minutes early for Fantasmic in late April (2008)? I know that the crowds  will be less than say during the summer months since most spring breaks will be over, but there will most likely only be one showing of Fantasmic during this time of year. - Amy
Late April is always hard to guage as the spring break crowds and families that are off from school in April descend on Walt Disney World in April. It's hard to say without knowing your exact date, but a few guidelines here should help. If there is more than one showing of Fantasmic! scheduled for the day you want to go, that means Disney is anticipating large crowds and if you want to go to to the first showing of the night, you will likely need to be there at least 60 minutes ahead of time (in the case of more than one showing of Fantasmic!, always see the last showing to avoid a long wait).

If there is just one showing of Fantasmic!, I would recommend showing up about 45 minutes early to ensure you can get a decent seat. Showing up 60-90 minutes will ensure you pick the best seat in your opinion but in my estimation, as long as you're not in either of the sections thatare at the ends of the theater, you'll be fine. I don't think crowds will be small enough to recommend you get there 30 minutes, so 45 I think may be the magic number for you.
