Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions. So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).
My husband and I have signed up for the 13k race at MGM Oct 27th and want to bring our two children that are older . When do we pay for the party tickets for those who are not running but will be in the park during the run? Can we pay at the door ? How much per person? Thanks - Cassie
Yes, you can get tickets for those not running (How do you think I'm getting into the after party?). For those not aware, there is a Tower of Terror 13K race this year on October 27. To be honest, there are 2 races, a 13K race and a 6.5K race. More information on the races can be found here.
In addition to the races, there is a party after the races that allow for rides on Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster and the Great Movie Ride until the wee hours of the night and basically, anyone can go. To buy tickets to the party and/or the race as well, go to the official Disney site for more information (and be sure to say hi to me during the party!).
A few weeks ago, we were at your park.
At one of the stores there, I found a Mickey Mouse golf club head cover. I didn't buy it, now I wished I had.
The store had lots of golf apparel.
I looked on line at Disney stores, but haven't seen it. Any help finding it would be apreceated.
Thanks! - David
A very common question and there's good news. If the item is still in stock (emphasis on if as Disney swaps out its merchandise pretty often), you can purchase it by contacting Disney Merchandise and calling 407-363-6200. If it is in stock you could have it within 5 business days.
I have seen a commercial on tv about the different generations of Power Rangers at MGM but I can't find any information about how long they are supposed to have this show? When should I plan to go?? - Kelly of Tampa, FL
The Power Rangers have been at the Studios now for a while now. You can find them at the end of the Streets of America (near the entrance to Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show) and they show up every day and have about 5 or 6 appearances per day (check your Times Guide when you enter the park). If you're curious as to who is available for meet-n-greet, here is who is available: Red S.P.D. Power Ranger, Green Samurai Power Ranger, Pink Mystic Force Force Power Ranger, White Dino Thunder Power Ranger, Yellow Operation Overdrive Power Ranger. More information on meeting characters in the parks can be found here.
You also asked when you should go and currently there aren't any plans or rumors I've heard to remove the Power Rangers so as long as you have a trip planned within the near future, you should be fine.
