Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions.  So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).

When does Disney usually release the dates for Star Wars weekends? My two boys are huge Star Wars fans and we're headed down to The World in May 2008 with hopes that we'll hit Star Wars Weekends. The move to June weekends this year scare me a bit. Is this a new trend? Or do you think we'll see them back in May next year? - Mark
Wow I thought I'd have a few months of a break before I started getting these sort of questions, but here they come... Disney has traditionally released dates in January and February of the year of the event. For 2007, we learned of the dates on February 7 whereas in 2006, the dates were available on January 10. 2007 was different because of the shift in SWW dates to June from May. I don't have any idea what's in store for 2008, but I hope it changes back to mid-May through mid-June.

I'm going to the Studios in November and wanted to ride Tower of Terror for the first time. I'm really scared but I wanted to know how many times I can be dropped in the ride? - Sue K.
Currently, there is a drop sequence program known as Tower4. The drop sequence isn't actually randomly generated. There are four pre-programmed drop profiles (three new ones, and a slightly modified version of the existing "Twice the Fright" profile), and each time a vehicle enters the drop shaft, the ride computer randomly selects one of the four profiles, so it's not like it's actually making up a new ride each time, there are just many to choose from, as opposed to the same one each time. The new profiles are enhanced by some new audio, smells, and a few other animatronics and visual effects.

If I have a stroller, where can I park it if I want to go to Fantasmic? Do I have to bring it into the stadium with us? - Carol W.
It's located very close to the top of the hill (about 3/4 of the way up), which is the seating area you will find the stroller parking. Heading to your seat shouldn't be much further, especially if you have the Fantasmic! Dinner Package seating area. Also, if you are using your own stroller, be sure to have some kind of identifying mark as it's easy for someone to mistake your stroller for their own.
