Every week I’ll be answering any question about the Disney-MGM Studios from planning questions to “what happened to...” questions. So if you’ve got something you’ve been wondering about or simply need clarification, please feel free to email them to me (use the form below).
Good morning Matt! Love the show!
I was wondering, we bought Park Hopper Tickets with the non-expiration option. How can we find out what is left on the ticket? Is there someone we can call, or do we just have to wait until we get to the Front Desk at our Resort?
Thanks for your help and keep up the good work!
- Mike B.
The only way to figure our how many days you have left on a ticket is to actually go to Walt Disney World and go to the park and have a Cast member in Guest Relations swipe your ticket. There are all sorts of rumors about the Disney Store being able to do it or a number you can call, but they're all false. Of course, if you have an annual pass I can tell you how many days you have left on that...
Matt,
I thought I would get a much more experience traveler's insight. I had initially planned for our family to go to DS on Friday June 1 for SWW and I know it is the first day; and also EE. Then just now I saw the schedule for gay days is also that Friday at DS. We leave WDW tne next day, Saturday. Do I really have anything to worry about? Any advice/input/experience would be appreciated. We plan on being there at 730am, and have a reservation at 5pm at Hollywood and vine for the fantasmic meal. Thanks, Fred
Fred, I can tell you not to worry terribly about the impact on crowds Gay Days will have. I'll be at the Studios on June 1st as well for the first day of Star Wars Weekends, so it's not stopping me. In addition, Epcot is also an official day for Gay Days on June 1st and as much as I hate to admit it, it's more popular generally speaking than MGM and I'd bet most folks are heading to Epcot. The real impact on crowds on June 1 will be the Star Wars fans who will descend on the Studios that weekend.
Hi Matt:
I recently heard you on Lou Mongello's show and you talked about there being several entrances to the park.
I can't find anywhere that shows what they are.
Is there a map where you can see them? If not, where are the other entrances located?
Thanks! - Stacy P.
I think I was misleading when I said that. What I meant were car entrances, not guest entrances to the park itself. There's the main entrance which runs along the "right" side of the park, and that's the entrance you see when entering Walt Disney World property. The second entrance is located near Tower of Terror and is across the street from the entrance to the Boardwalk resort, and that's inevitably the entrance I use when coming to the park. There is just one way to enter the park on foot.
